san marzano dop, fior di latte, basil
The iconic Margherita pizza is a staple in Italy known for its colors that mirror the Italian flag - green, white and red. It is believed the pizza was named after Italy's Queen Margherita of Savoy in the mid 1800's, however it was a staple of Naples long before then. Chef Daniele, who grew up in Naples, honors this patriotic pizza with only a few simple ingredients. Featuring san marzano dop, fior di latte, parmigiano and basil, it is finished with Italian extra virgin olive oil for a pizza experience fit for royalty.
“Daniele Uditi's neo-Neapolitan pizzerias... excel at everything from a braised short rib pizza to a cacio e pepe pizza to a black truffle pizza. This is also where you can find a perfect margherita.” - Food & Wine
